Supernatural Case File: Dylan Haley

Prologue:
My breath caught as I turned to see her eyes The natural blue color given a grey glazed tint, her lips an even colder blue, but that's not what made my breath catch. She was moving as if she were a marionette and her eyes were trapping me in a numbing stare. All I could hear was my heart beat, as it pulsed through my ears. Her waist length platinum blonde hair seemed to float as she began to spin like a jewelry box ballerina. I was paralyzed staring at her. I wanted to scream, to run, do anything. It was impossible. The voices intruded into my mind. There's no point. Let them have you. A final surrender. No more fighting. No more pain, let him send you where you belong. Your deathbed.

My lips dried from both fear, and desperation, after everything I'd seen in the past week. This. This was True evil. I turned to run my sneakers getting stuck in the mud, for a moment I tried to retrieve them but when I felt his hand slowly descending upon my shoulder I left them running for my life, for those hands of his would only take it away. This wasn't just a murderer, this was a serial killer, a monster, a freak of nature. I had gotten maybe five feet from him when I heard a noise than made my blood run cold, a cross between a screech and a scream that felt like it was gripping my heart and surfacing to my throat the only warmth left upon me was the hot tears cascading down my face. I shook in a fear so intense I swore I'd never known true fear until this day, I turned to glance at the girl to make sure her corpse was far away enough for me to escape.

All I saw was the fog clouding above the cemetery stones, the moon highlighting where the stone was left. For a moment I took a deep breath. For a moment I thought I was free. The relief only to be interrupted by a sharp pain in the back of my skull. Then it went dark.
